Golden State Voluntary Recall

On September 29, 2022, Golden State Medical Supply, Inc. (“GSMS”) issued a consumer-level recall of Clopidogrel Bisulfate 75 mg Tablets (NDC #51407-0032-10) lot# GS046745 due to a mislabeled bottle. Bottles that were produced under lot #GS046745 may have been mislabeled as Atenolol 25 mg Tablets (NDC #60429-0027-10).

This could be a health hazard or safety risk to patients who may be using product affected by this recall.

For your reference is a copy of GSMS’s “Information for Consumers/Patients/Caregivers," which includes pill images, as well as directions for patients/caregivers to take based on examination of their medications, as well as information on the two drugs and the risks associated with inadvertently taking clopidogrel instead of prescribed atenolol.

CVS Caremark Response: This product is not carried at CVS Caremark® Mail Service Pharmacy or Specialty Pharmacy. CVS Pharmacy indicated that they did not have any purchased of the affected products at retail.
